Wood Flooring Idaho is Tyler Moore's company. He started in the trades more than two decades ago and built his reputation under Moore Construction LLC, a company founded on honesty, integrity and unsurpassed quality. As hardwood became the heart of the work — install, sand, stain, repair — the business grew into Wood Flooring Idaho, the name East Idaho homeowners, designers and builders know today. One customer still has an oak floor we laid back in 2007; when they built a new home years later, they called us again.

Over that time the work earned a 5.0-star rating across 65 Google reviews, with the owner replying to nearly every one. Read them and the same themes repeat: we answer the phone and return calls, we show up when we say we will, we blend new wood into old so you can't find the seam, and we leave your home clean. That track record — not a slogan on a page — is what we stand on.

What we do

Wood flooring is a specialty, not a sideline. We install solid and engineered hardwood — site-finished or prefinished — and waterproof LVP and LVT. We re-sand and refinish worn floors with vacuum-contained, dust-controlled equipment, custom-match stain, and restore floors damaged by flooding, fire and everyday wear. We also handle the finish carpentry that ties a floor together — baseboard, shoe molding, trim and transitions — and the stair work that matches it. And before any of that, we give expert, no-pressure guidance on species, construction, stain and finish. Tyler and the crew — Danny and Troy among them — do it all.

Built for East Idaho's climate

What separates a floor that lasts from one that fails here isn't the brand of wood — it's respecting the climate. Idaho Falls sits high and dry on the Snake River Plain, and months of furnace heat pull moisture out of solid wood every winter, then the irrigation season puts it back. Floors that go in without a moisture check or proper acclimation cup, crown and gap. So every install starts with a meter reading on the subfloor and the wood, and material that acclimates in your home before we lay a board. It's not glamorous, but it's why our floors stay flat.

Our home base is Idaho Falls and the towns around it — Ammon, Lincoln, Iona, Ucon, Shelley and Rigby — along with Rexburg, Blackfoot, Pocatello and the Fremont County communities up the Henry's Fork. Over the years the work has reached across Idaho, Utah and western Wyoming, including custom floors in the Jackson Hole area. For cabins, mountain homes, the Magic Valley and the Wood River Valley, we plan project trips and deliver material early so it can acclimate on site.

How we work

Every job begins with a free, on-site measure and a written, itemized quote. We walk you through the real choices — solid versus engineered, site-finished versus prefinished, hardwood versus LVP — and we tell you when refinishing beats replacing, even though replacing would bill more. On refinishing jobs we try stain samples on your own floor before we commit to a color. Then we do the work on the schedule we promised and hand over a care guide so your new floor stays looking new. Honest and efficient — the way we've always done it.
